Chop and Grate Vegetables
Finely chop the onion and celery, and grate the carrot. Mince the garlic cloves.

Prepare the Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the spaghetti.
Cooking the Bolognese Sauce

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, grated carrot, and chopped celery. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.

Brown the Ground Beef
Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 7-10 minutes.

Add Liquids and Spices
Pour in the red wine, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced. Then add the canned crushed tomatoes, beef broth, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
