Turkey Burger Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, and chopped cilantro.

  2. 2

In a separate small bowl, whisk together rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour this dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well. Allow slaw to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Make the Turkey Patties

In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, grated ginger, soy sauce, minced garlic, chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper.

  4. 4

Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. Form the mixture into 4 patties.

  5. 5

    Cook the Burgers

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the turkey patties for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until they are fully cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

  6. 6

During the last minute of cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in the skillet.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Burgers

Place a cooked turkey patty on each toasted bun, top with marinated tomato slices, and finish with a generous portion of Asian slaw.

  8. 8

    Serve immediately and enjoy!
