Method

Preparing the Ribeye

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season the ribeye steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

In a heavy skillet or cast-iron pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Add the ribeye to the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Add butter during the last minute for extra flavor.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Making the Loaded Baked Potato

  1. 5

    Bake the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Scrub the potatoes clean, poke a few holes in each with a fork, and bake directly on the oven rack for 45-60 minutes, or until tender.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Filling

Once baked, remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly. Slice them in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the flesh into a bowl.

  3. 7

    Mix the Ingredients

To the scooped potato flesh, add sour cream, cheddar cheese, green onions, bacon, salt, and pepper. Mash together until well combined.

  4. 8

    Stuff the Potatoes

Spoon the mixture back into the potato skins and top with additional cheese, if desired. Return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes.
