For the Cheese Ravioli
Method
Directions
- 1
Prepare the Cheese Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Fill the Ravioli
Take ravioli pasta sheets and place small spoonfuls of the cheese mixture on one sheet, leaving space in between. Cover with another sheet of pasta and press down to seal the edges. Cut into individual ravioli.
- 3
Fry the Ravioli
Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Dredge each ravioli in bread crumbs and fry in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 4
Make the Marinara Sauce
In a saucepan, heat olive oil and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- 5
Serve
Plate the fried ravioli and serve with a generous portion of spicy house-made marinara sauce on the side.
