Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Fish
If using cod, heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Season fish with salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. For grilled Mahi-Mahi, brush with olive oil and season similarly, then grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side until flaky.
- 2
Make the Slaw
In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrot, chopped cilantro, and lime juice. Mix in mayonnaise, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
- 3
Warm the Tortillas
In a dry skillet, warm the flour tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.
- 4
Assemble the Tacos
On each tortilla, place a piece of cooked fish, top with the slaw mixture, and add extra cilantro or lime juice if desired.
- 5
Serve
Serve the tacos with combo fries and additional coleslaw on the side.
