Method

Pancake Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until evenly mixed.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Do not over-mix; small lumps are okay.

  4. 4

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Cooking Pancakes

  1. 5

    Heat the Pan

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.

  2. 6

    Pour Batter

Pour about 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. 7

    Flip Pancakes

Carefully flip the pancakes and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

Cooking Bacon or Sausage

  1. 8

    Cook Bacon

In the same skillet, add bacon strips and cook over medium heat until crispy, about 4-5 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
