Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties that are slightly larger than the burger buns.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, sliced tomato, pickles, and your choice of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Side Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Sides

Choose one of the sides: French fries, coleslaw, or onion rings. Prepare according to package instructions or homemade recipes.

  2. 7

    Serve

Plate the burger alongside your chosen side and serve immediately.
