Hash Browns

Grilled Onions

Eggs & Toast

Method

Hash Browns Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the Russet potatoes and grate them using a box grater or food processor. Rinse the grated potatoes under cold water to remove excess starch. Drain well and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Cook the Hash Browns

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the grated potatoes in an even layer. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Flip the hash browns and cook for another 5-7 minutes until both sides are crispy and golden.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Once the hash browns are cooked, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover the skillet with a lid for a couple of minutes until the cheese is melted.

Grilled Onions Preparation

  1. 4

    Sauté the Onions

In another skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sliced yellow onions and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.

Eggs & Toast Preparation

  1. 5

    Cook the Eggs

In a non-stick skillet, crack the eggs and cook them to your preferred style (sunny-side-up, scrambled, etc.). Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 6

    Toast the Bread

While the eggs are cooking, toast the slices of bread until golden brown. Spread butter on the toasted bread.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Serve

On a plate, serve a generous portion of the golden hash browns topped with grilled onions. Add the cooked eggs on the side and serve with buttered toast.
