Method
Hash Browns Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the Russet potatoes and grate them using a box grater or food processor. Rinse the grated potatoes under cold water to remove excess starch. Drain well and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Cook the Hash Browns
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the grated potatoes in an even layer. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Flip the hash browns and cook for another 5-7 minutes until both sides are crispy and golden.
- 3
Add Cheese
Once the hash browns are cooked, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover the skillet with a lid for a couple of minutes until the cheese is melted.
