Focaccia Dough
Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Focaccia Dough
In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the mixture. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 2
Prepare the Toppings
While the dough is rising, prepare the toppings. Cook and crumble the bacon, slice the turkey, ham, tomatoes, and cheeses. Set aside.
- 3
Assemble the Club Focaccia
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Once the dough has risen, punch it down and spread it into a greased baking dish. Layer the turkey, ham, bacon, cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce evenly over the dough. Spread mayonnaise over the top.
- 4
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the focaccia is golden brown and the cheeses are melted. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.
