Method

Pork and Chicken Chunks

1

Prepare the Meat

In a large bowl, combine the pork and chicken chunks. Add garlic, onion, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat the meat evenly.

2

Cook the Meat

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the marinated meat and cook until browned and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.

Fried Cheese with Guava

3

Fry the Cheese

In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the cheese slices until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

4

Assemble

Place a slice of guava paste on top of each fried cheese slice and serve warm.

Fried Plantains

5

Fry the Plantains

In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the plantain slices until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.

Mofongo Balls

6

Prepare the Mofongo

In a pot, boil green plantains until soft. Drain and mash with garlic, chicken broth, pork cracklings, and salt until smooth.

7

Form Balls

Shape the mixture into balls and set aside.

Empanadas

8

Make the Filling

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and bell pepper until soft, then add ground beef, cumin, and salt. Cook until beef is browned.

9

Fill the Empanadas

Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each empanada dough disc, fold over, and seal the edges.

10

Fry the Empanadas

In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the empanadas until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Spicy Crab Salad

11

Mix the Salad

In a bowl, combine cooked crab meat, mayonnaise, hot sauce, lime juice, cilantro, and red onion. Mix well and season to taste.
