Preparation
1. Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips about 1 inch wide.
2. Make the Batter
In a bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Combine the wet and dry ingredients to make a batter.
3. Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
4. Coat and Fry the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip into the batter, allowing the excess to drip off before placing it in the hot oil. Fry in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
5. Prepare Dipping Sauces
For the honey-dill sauce, mix honey and dill weed in a bowl. For the sesame ginger sauce, mix soy sauce and ginger. Serve with ranch and buffalo sauce as well.
6. Serve
Plate the chicken crispers and serve alongside the dipping sauces of your choice.
