Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Yogurt Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the lowfat Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated and smooth.

  2. 2

    Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the yogurt mixture for about 30 minutes. This helps to enhance the flavors.

  3. 3

    Churn the Yogurt

After chilling, pour the yogurt mixture into an ice cream maker. Churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

  4. 4

    Add Almonds

In the last few minutes of churning, add the chopped roasted almonds to the yogurt and mix until evenly distributed.

  5. 5

    Freeze

Transfer the churned yogurt to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up before serving.

  6. 6

    Serve

Scoop the chocolate almond frozen yogurt into bowls and enjoy!
