Prepare the Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, bread crumbs, egg, mustard, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Shape the Patties
Form the mixture into patties, about 1 inch thick. You should be able to make approximately 6 patties.

Fry the Patties
Heat the butter or oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve
Serve the frikadellen hot, accompanied by warm red cabbage and Bratkartoffeln.
