For the Paprika Schnitzel

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Cutlets

Pound the pork cutlets to an even thickness. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Bread the Cutlets

Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with paprika. Dredge each cutlet in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Fry the Schnitzels

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded cutlets for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Make the Gravy

In another pan, heat olive oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until soft. Add garlic and cook briefly. Stir in tomatoes, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Pommes

Peel and cut the potatoes into fries. Rinse and dry. Deep fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Drain and season with salt.

  6. 6

    Make the Salad

In a bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper, toss to combine.

  7. 7

    Serve

Plate the schnitzels, top with the tomato pepper gravy, and serve with pommes and house salad.
