Prepare Coffee Mixture

Brew the Coffee
Brew 1 cup of espresso coffee and let it cool slightly. Stir in 1 tablespoon of coffee liqueur and set aside.
Make Cream Filling

Whisk Egg Yolks and Sugar
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 100g of granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

Incorporate Mascarpone
Add 500g of mascarpone cheese and 1 tsp of vanilla extract to the egg mixture, and mix until smooth and well combined.

Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Combine Cream with Mascarpone
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
Assemble the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, place a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone cream filling over the ladyfingers.

Repeat Layers
Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone cream filling.
Chill and Serve

Chill the Tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Add Cocoa and Chocolate
Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
