Prepare the Glass
Run a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled cocktail glass. Dip the rim into kosher salt to coat it evenly.

Mix the Cocktail
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, lime juice, and triple sec. Add the ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared cocktail glass. Optionally, you can serve it on the rocks over fresh ice.

Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
