Prepare the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Place it in a slow cooker.

Add Dr. Pepper
Pour the Dr. Pepper over the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.

Cook the Pork
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker.

Add BBQ Sauce
Stir in the BBQ sauce and mix well. Allow to cook for an additional 30 minutes.

Assemble the Sandwiches
Toast the buns and fill each with a generous amount of pulled pork. Top with crispy onions and dill pickles.
