Directions
- 1
Prepare the Strawberry-Rhubarb Mixture
In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries, chopped rhubarb, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and let simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fruits are softened and a syrup forms.
- 2
Strain the Mixture
Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing down on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
- 3
Combine with Sour Ale
In a large pitcher, combine the cooled syrup with the sour ale. Stir gently to mix.
- 4
Serve
In glasses filled with ice, pour the strawberry-rhubarb sour mixture. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and serve immediately.
