Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Octopus

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the octopus and boil for about 30-40 minutes until tender. Remove from water and let it cool.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Potatoes

While the octopus is cooking, preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Wash the unpeeled potatoes and place them on a baking tray. Bake for about 45-60 minutes or until tender when pierced with a fork.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Grill the Octopus

Once the octopus is cool, cut it into tentacles. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the octopus pieces with olive oil and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred.

Sautéing Vegetables

  1. 4

    Sauté the Onions and Peppers

In a skillet, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized.

Serving

  1. 5

    Assemble the Dish

On a large serving platter, place the grilled octopus and top with the sautéed onions and peppers. Drizzle with additional olive oil and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top. Serve with the baked potatoes on the side.
