Method
Preparing the Seafood

Clean the Seafood
Rinse the lobster, mussels, clams, shrimp, and scallops under cold water. Remove any beards from the mussels and clean the clams thoroughly.

Cook the Lobster
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the lobster for about 8-10 minutes until bright red. Remove and let cool before cracking the shell and setting aside the meat.

Making the Red Sauce

Sauté the Aromatics
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add Vegetables
Stir in chopped red bell pepper and diced tomatoes, cooking for another 5 minutes until the tomatoes start to break down.

Season the Sauce
Sprinkle in paprika and chili flakes, then pour in the fish stock. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Making the Green Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Finish the Sauce
Pour in the fish stock and simmer for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combining Everything

Combine Seafood and Sauce
In a large serving dish, combine the cooked seafood with either the red or green sauce, gently mixing to coat the seafood evenly.

Serve the mariscada warm with crusty bread or rice on the side for a complete meal.
