Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the Linguine

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the linguine.

Preparing Seafood

  1. 2

    Cook the Seafood

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and calamari. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and the calamari are tender. Add the mussels and cover the skillet. Cook for another 5 minutes or until the mussels open. Remove from heat and set aside.

Making Green Sauce

  1. 3

    Blend the Sauce

In a blender or food processor, combine the fresh basil, parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 4

    Mix Everything Together

In the skillet with the seafood, add the drained linguine and the green sauce. Toss everything together over medium heat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve a creamy consistency. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate and Serve

Divide the linguine and seafood mixture among serving plates. Optionally, garnish with additional fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon juice. Enjoy your Linguine with Seafood in Chef's Homemade Green Sauce!
