Mashed Potatoes

Method

Filet Mignon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. While the grill is heating, wrap each filet mignon steak with two slices of bacon, securing them with toothpicks if necessary.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub both sides of the wrapped filet mignon steaks with olive oil, and season generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steaks

Place the bacon-wrapped filet mignon steaks on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is achieved. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Asparagus

  1. 4

    Prepare the Asparagus

While the steaks are grilling, rinse the asparagus spears under cold water. Trim off the woody ends.

  2. 5

    Cook the Asparagus

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the asparagus, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the asparagus is tender yet crisp.

  3. 6

    Finish with Lemon Juice

Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into evenly sized chunks. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

  2. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
