Method

For the Fried Cod Fish

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cod

Rinse the cod fish fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Batter the Cod

In a shallow bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In another bowl, beat the eggs. Dip each fillet first into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, making sure to coat well.

  3. 3

    Fry the Cod

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. When the oil is hot, carefully add the battered cod fillets. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

For the Sautéed Onions

  1. 4

    Slice the Onions

Peel and slice the onions into thin rings. Mince the garlic cloves.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Onions

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 6

    Add Garlic and Paprika

Add the minced garlic and paprika to the pan, stirring well. Cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the chopped parsley and remove from heat.

For the Fried Round Potatoes

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and slice them into thick rounds. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

In a deep pan, heat the oil for frying over medium-high heat until hot. Fry the potato slices in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.
