Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Sausage

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Garlic and Marinara

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Pour in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rigatoni, sausage mixture, half of the mozzarella, provolone, and half of the parmesan cheese. Mix well.

  5. 5

    Layer the Dish

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased baking dish, spread half of the pasta mixture. Top with half of the remaining marinara sauce, then sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and provolone. Add the rest of the pasta mixture and top with the remaining marinara sauce and parmesan cheese.

  6. 6

    Bake

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  7. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
