For the Jalapeno Poppers
Method
Preparation of Jalapeno Poppers
- 1
Prepare the Jalapenos
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Carefully slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for a milder flavor.
- 2
Make the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, bacon bits, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 3
Stuff the Jalapenos
Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture, pressing down gently to pack it in.
- 4
Bake the Poppers
Place the stuffed jalapenos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapenos are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- 5
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve hot with your favorite ranch dressing.
