Cut the boneless chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, mix the buttermilk and egg. Combine the wet and dry ingredients to create a batter.

Coat the Chicken
Dip each piece of chicken into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.

Heat the Oil
In a large pan or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Chicken
Fry the battered chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

In a large bowl, toss the fried chicken pieces with the hot sauce mixture until evenly coated.
