Ingredients for Fried Chicken Sandwich
Method
Directions to Prepare Fried Chicken Sandwich
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- 2
Prepare the Slaw
In a separate bowl, mix shredded cabbage, grated carrot, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Stir until well combined and set aside.
- 3
Coat the Chicken
In a shallow dish, add all-purpose flour. Remove the chicken from the marinade and coat each piece thoroughly with flour.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated chicken breasts and fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Make the BBQ Aioli
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and BBQ sauce until smooth. Set aside.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the brioche rolls lightly, then spread BBQ aioli on the bottom half. Place the fried chicken on top, add a generous amount of creamy slaw, and then top with the other half of the brioche roll.
