Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips or wedges, depending on your preference.

  2. 2

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps in achieving a crispy texture.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying for the best results.

  4. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the soaked and drained potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  5. 5

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Immediately season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the salt ‘n pepper French fries hot as a delicious snack or side dish.
