Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Patty
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty.
- 3
Cook the Patties
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Add Peppers and Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, add sliced green bell pepper on top of each patty and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the peppers. Cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- 5
Prepare the Bread
While the cheese is melting, butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- 6
Assemble the Melt
On the unbuttered side of two slices, place a patty with melted cheese and peppers. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
