Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, and knead until you have a smooth dough. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Topping

In a large bowl, combine ground meat, chopped tomatoes, red bell pepper, parsley, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Assemble Lahmacun

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough into thin circles on a floured surface. Spread a thin layer of the meat mixture evenly over each dough circle.

  4. 4

    Bake

Place the topped dough on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are crispy and the meat is cooked through.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Cut into wedges and serve warm. Enjoy your Lahmacun!
