Panna Cotta

Method

Panna Cotta

  1. 1

    Prepare the Gelatin

In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.

  2. 2

    Heat the Cream Mixture

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Stir gently until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot, but not boiling.

  3. 3

    Add the Gelatin

Once the cream mixture is hot, remove it from the heat. Add the bloomed gelatin and vanilla extract. Stir until the gelatin is fully dissolved.

  4. 4

    Pour into Molds

Pour the panna cotta mixture into individual serving cups or molds. Allow them to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Berry Sauce

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a small saucepan, combine the mixed berries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice.

  2. 6

    Cook the Sauce

Cook over medium heat, stirring gently until the berries break down and the mixture thickens slightly, about 10-15 minutes.

  3. 7

    Cool the Sauce

Remove from heat and let the berry sauce cool. You can strain it if you prefer a smoother texture.
