Preparation of Coffee Mixture

Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and allow it to cool slightly. Combine with coffee liqueur.

Mix Egg Yolks and Sugar
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

Add Mascarpone
Gently fold in 1 cup of mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture until well combined.

Whip Cream
In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

Combine Mixtures
Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and smooth.
Assembly

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer Cookies and Cream
Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in a 9x9 inch dish. Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the cookies.

Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining cream mixture.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to set.
