In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until the mixture becomes pale and creamy.

Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth and well combined.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x9 inch dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.

Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
