Pasta Preparation

Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot of salted boiling water, add the fettuccine. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Cooking the Bacon and Vegetables

Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and let it drain on paper towels. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

In the same skillet, remove excess fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Add the diced onion and cook over medium heat until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Making the Sauce

Prepare the Cream Sauce
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.
