Method
Preparing the Pizza Base
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure a hot environment for baking the pizza.
- 2
Prepare the Dough
On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into your desired shape and thickness, about 12 inches in diameter.
- 3
Oil the Dough
Transfer the shaped dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet. Brush the surface lightly with olive oil to help it crisp up while baking.
Assembling the Pizza
- 4
Spread the Tomato Sauce
Evenly spread the tomato sauce over the surface of the prepared pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 5
Add Cheese and Toppings
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Then layer the sliced prosciutto, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and shaved Parmesan cheese on top.
Baking the Pizza
- 6
Bake the Pizza
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Finishing Touches
- 7
Prepare the Arugula Salad
While the pizza is baking, in a medium bowl, toss the arugula with the balsamic dressing until well coated.
- 8
Top the Pizza
Once the pizza is out of the oven, top it with the dressed arugula. Drizzle with balsamic reduction for extra flavor.
Serving
- 9
Slice and Serve
Slice the pizza into wedges and serve immediately while hot, enjoying the combination of flavors and textures.
