Method
Preparing the Mussels
- 1
Clean the Mussels
Rinse the mussels under cold running water to remove any sand or debris. Discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.
- 2
Sauté the Garlic and Cherry Peppers
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the sliced cherry peppers and crushed red pepper flakes, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- 3
Cook the Mussels
Add the cleaned mussels to the pot and pour in the white wine. Cover the pot and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels have opened. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Frying the Calamari

Fry the Calamari
Carefully add the floured calamari to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
