Meatballs Preparation

Mix the Meatball Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Italian breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, beaten egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Form Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes or until cooked through and browned.

Make the Sauce
Add canned crushed tomatoes to the saucepan, and stir in dried oregano, salt, sugar, and black pepper. Simmer the sauce for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Assemble the Sliders

Prepare Slider Buns
Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.

Add Meatballs and Sauce
Place 2-3 meatballs on each bun bottom and spoon marinara sauce over the meatballs.

Top with Cheese and Basil
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce and add a few basil leaves.

Bake the Sliders
Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese. Bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm with extra marinara sauce on the side.
