Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season the steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. Allow it to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to enhance the flavor.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Grill the Long Hot Pepper

While the steak is resting, grill the sliced long hot pepper for 1-2 minutes on each side until slightly charred.

  4. 4

    Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown and caramelized.

Pesto Aioli Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix the Aioli

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, pesto, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Sliders

Slice the grilled steak into thin strips. On each slider bun, spread a generous amount of pesto aioli, layer with steak, a slice of mozzarella cheese, grilled long hot pepper, and caramelized onions. Top with the other half of the bun.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm, and enjoy your grilled steak sliders!
