Method
Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Begin by flattening the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet. This ensures they cook evenly.
- 2
Set up Breading Station
Set up three shallow dishes for the breading process: one with flour mixed with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and the last one with breadcrumbs.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs, followed by coating it thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Sliders Assembly
- 5
Assemble the Sliders
Slice the slider buns in half. Spread a spoonful of marinara sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
- 6
Add Chicken and Cheese
Place a piece of fried chicken on top of the marinara sauce. Then generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken.
- 7
Bake the Sliders
Transfer the assembled sliders to a baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 8
Garnish and Serve
Remove from oven and add a fresh basil leaf to each slider. Place the top half of the buns on and serve warm.
