Method
Preparing the Salad
- 1
Wash the Romaine Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Shake off excess water and pat dry with a paper towel.
- 2
Prepare the Chicken
If not pre-cooked, grill the chicken breast until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C). Allow it to rest for a few minutes, then slice it into thin strips.
- 3
Grate the Parmesan Cheese
Use a grater to finely shred the parmesan cheese until you have approximately 0.5 cups.
- 4
Combine Salad Ingredients
In a large bowl, add the washed romaine lettuce, sliced grilled chicken, grated parmesan cheese, and croutons. Gently toss to combine.
Making the Dressing
- 5
Prepare Ingredients for Dressing
Finely chop the garlic clove and gather all dressing ingredients.
- 6
Mix the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic, anchovy paste, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously until the dressing is emulsified.
- 7
Season the Dressing
Add salt and black pepper to the dressing according to your taste and mix well.
- 8
Dress the Salad
Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to ensure all ingredients are coated with the dressing.
