If not already done, clean the calamari by removing the head and innards, then slice the body into rings. Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

In small bowls, pour the marinara sauce and peppercorn ranch dressing. Set aside for serving.

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to ensure even distribution of seasonings.

Bread the Calamari
Dredge the calamari rings and hot cherry pepper rings in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Fry the Calamari
Carefully add the breaded calamari and hot pepper rings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
