Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burrata

Carefully remove the burrata cheese from its packaging and drain any excess liquid. Pat it dry with paper towels to ensure a crisp coating.

  2. 2

    Set Up the Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place the all-purpose flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Breading and Frying

  1. 3

    Bread the Burrata

First, coat the burrata in flour, making sure it is fully covered. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off, and finally coat it in the seasoned breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure they adhere.

  2. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers. You can test the oil's readiness by dropping a small piece of breadcrumb into it; if it sizzles, it is ready.

  3. 5

    Fry the Burrata

Carefully place the breaded burrata into the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Do not overcrowd the pan; fry in batches if necessary.

Serving

  1. 6

    Drain and Serve

Once fried, transfer the burrata to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve immediately while hot, drizzled with olive oil and a sprinkle of extra herbs if desired.
