Sauce Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Sauce
In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the canned tomato sauce, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- 2
Simmer the Sauce
Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Pizza Assembly
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F) to ensure it’s hot enough for baking the pizza.
- 4
Roll Out the Dough
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness, typically about 0.5 cm thick.
- 5
Add the Sauce
Spread an even layer of the prepared tomato sauce over the rolled-out pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 6
Add Cheese and Toppings
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Then, add the pepperoni slices and crumbled Italian sausage on top of the cheese.
Baking
- 7
Bake the Pizza
Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
