Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Spice Rub

In a small bowl, mix together paprika, cumin, black pepper, salt, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Season the Tuna

Rub the spice mixture all over the yellowfin tuna steaks.

  3. 3

    Sear the Tuna

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tuna steaks and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let rest.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Dumplings

Fill each dumpling wrapper with a small amount of filling (can be store-bought or homemade). Fold and seal them well. Optionally, boil or pan-fry until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Make the Wasabi Slaw

In a bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, and wasabi paste. Mix well and set aside.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Soy Glaze

In a small saucepan, heat soy sauce over low heat until warmed through. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

  7. 7

    Plate the Dish

Slice the seared tuna and serve alongside crispy dumplings, wasabi slaw, and drizzle with soy glaze.
