Ingredients for Classic Ocean City Crab Cake Platter
Method
Directions for Preparing Classic Ocean City Crab Cake Platter
- 1
Prepare the Crab Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and the egg. Mix gently to avoid breaking up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Add the Breading
Gradually fold in the bread crumbs until the mixture holds together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 3
Form the Crab Cakes
Using your hands, shape the mixture into small patties, about 3 inches in diameter. Place the patties on a plate.
- 4
Cook the Crab Cakes
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
- 5
Serve
Transfer the crab cakes to a serving platter. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
