Cook the waffle fries according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown. Keep warm.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Gradually add the beer, whisking until the batter is smooth and well combined.

In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Dip each cod fillet into the beer batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
