Method

Hummus Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chickpeas

Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, roasted red peppers, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper.

  3. 3

    Process the Hummus

Blend the ingredients until smooth. If the hummus is too thick, add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

  4. 4

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more salt or cayenne pepper if desired.

  5. 5

    Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with a little olive oil before serving.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and cut the carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, and bell pepper into strips.

  2. 7

    Arrange for Serving

Place the vegetable sticks on a platter around the hummus for a colorful presentation.

Naan Preparation

  1. 8

    Warm the Naan

Heat the naan bread in a skillet over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side until warm and slightly toasted.

  2. 9

    Slice for Serving

Cut the naan into halves or quarters for easy dipping.
