Method
Fried Pickles
- 1
Prepare the Pickles
Drain the dill pickle slices and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This will help achieve a crispier texture when fried.
- 2
Set up Breading Station
In a shallow bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. In a third bowl, pour the cornmeal.

- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of bread into it; it should sizzle and turn golden brown.
- 5
Ranch Dressing
- 6
Mix the Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, garlic powder, dried dill weed, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 7
Whisk Together
Use a whisk to mix all the ingredients until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 8
Chill the Dressing
Refrigerate the ranch dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
