Cooking Edamame

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

Add Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add 2 cups of edamame. If using frozen edamame, there is no need to thaw them beforehand.

Add Salt
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of salt into the boiling water to season the edamame.

Cook Edamame
Allow the edamame to boil for 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender and bright green.

Drain and Serve
Using a colander, drain the edamame and let them cool slightly before serving.
Optional Seasoning Instructions

Prepare Seasoning
In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 0.5 teaspoons of red pepper flakes.

Add Lemon Juice
Squeeze 1 tablespoon of lemon juice into the mixture and stir well.

Serve with Edamame
Serve the seasoned sauce alongside the warm edamame for dipping, or drizzle it over the edamame before serving.
