Method

Brownie

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter and Mix Sugars

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Allow the butter mixture to cool slightly. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Bake

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. 7

    Cool

Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Raspberry Sauce

  1. 8

    Prepare Sauce

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the fresh raspberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice.

  2. 9

    Cook

Cook the mixture, stirring gently until the raspberries break down and the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 10

    Strain (optional)

If desired, strain the sauce through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds. Let it cool.

Dulce de Leche

  1. 11

    Prepare Dulce de Leche

To make dulce de leche, place the sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously for about 30-40 minutes until it thickens and turns a caramel color.

Assembly

  1. 12

    Serve

Cut the brownies into squares and serve warm topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of raspberry sauce, and a generous spoonful of dulce de leche.
